The guidelines below, along with our Terms of Service, set out specific rules for the type of community interaction we allow on modSanctum. It is impossible to anticipate every specific situation that might arise, but in spirit we want modSanctum to be a fun, educational, and safe experience for everyone. We reserve the right to decide, in our sole discretion, what content violates that spirit and will not be permitted on the platform.

Explicit Content

• With the exception of in-game screenshots, depictions of nudity or gratuitous or graphic violence are not allowed on the site.
• Depictions of legal, non-hardcore, tasteful nudity are permitted in certain areas of the site provided the content is from in-game screenshots, is marked as adult content, and is kept away from the front pages of the site where many users do not wish to see that type of content.
• Depictions of hardcore pornographic content are permitted in mod submissions, but otherwise are not permitted on the site. Mods and depictions containing bestiality or necrophilia are prohibited.
• Do not post depictions of sexualized minors in any form (including hentai, anime, manga, etc.), or mods containing sexualized minors. We report child sexual exploitation to authorities. Never post, save, or send nude or sexually explicit content involving anyone under the age of 18, or anyone who looks like a minor, even if they are 18 or older, including yourself. Never ask a minor to send explicit imagery or chats.

Politics and Real World Issues

• Do not discuss real-world politics, religion, or other controversial subjects on this platform. People are here for education and entertainment, not drama. Use your head.
• Avoid using language that may demean, defame, or promote discrimination or violence on the basis of race, color, caste, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, species identity, disability, veteran status, vaccination status, immigration status, socio-economic status, age, weight, or pregnancy status.
• No fighting or overly obscene language. Keep obscenities to a minimum.
• Try not to be easily offended. Everything is offensive to someone. Free expression does not end where your feelings begin.

Harassment, Bullying, Threats, Violence & Harm

• Bullying, trolling, and harassment are strictly forbidden.
• Mods are generously provided by mod authors, and you are not obligated to download them. If you do not appreciate a particular mod or mod author, or have no constructive feedback to give, you may make use of the “Hide this Mod” feature to hide if from your feeds.
• Promoting violence or dangerous behavior is not allowed. Do not incite harm towards individuals, groups, or property.
• We prohibit the endorsement of self-harm, which includes but is not limited to self-mutilation, substance abuse, consuming Tide Pods or bleach, attempting the Cinnamon Challenge or Milk Crate Challenge, advocating suicide, or promoting eating disorders.
• Refrain from posting messages intended to upset others.
• If someone blocks you, do not attempt to contact them through alternate accounts or platforms.
• It is forbidden to share another person’s private information (e.g., home address, credit card number, Social Security number, etc.) or images of individuals in private spaces (e.g., bathrooms, bedrooms, locker rooms, medical facilities, etc.).
• If a person featured in a video or image you shared requests its removal, kindly comply.

Illegal Content & Basic Decency

• Do not use modSanctum for any illegal activities, including but not limited to purchase or sale of drugs, contraband, counterfeit goods, weapons, or sexual favors.
• Pretending to be someone you are not, or to deceive people about who you are, is prohibited. This includes impersonating friends, celebrities, mod authors, YouTubers, brands, or other organizations
• You may not publish or link to malicious content intended to damage or disrupt another person’s browser or computer, or to compromise a person’s privacy.
• You may not use modSanctum for the purpose of spamming anyone or polluting the site with irrelevant advertising. What constitutes “spamming” or “irrelevant advertising” will evolve as we respond to new tricks and tactics by spammers.
• Stay on topic, keep comments factual, and write in English where possible on public forums.
• Be excellent to each other.

You can file a report with our moderation team if you spot a violation of the Community Interaction Guidelines. We review these reports to determine whether there is a violation that requires action.

If you violate these Community Interaction Guidelines, we may remove the offending content, terminate or limit the visibility of your account, and/or notify law enforcement. If your account is terminated for violating our Terms of Service or these Guidelines, you may not use modSanctum again. Please take these Guidelines seriously and honor them in the spirit in which they are intended.

A good rule of thumb on mS and in general is simply treat people with the respect you would wish for yourself.
